Liberty Ranch FFA October Update

Adriana Ybarra

Liberty Ranch FFA

Nov 12, 2025

Our members have been working hard in competitions, community events, and leadership activities, and we are proud of everything we have accomplished this far. This season, our Opening and Closing Ceremonies teams performed exceptionally well, with 13 outstanding individuals and several teams placing in the top 3! Several members attended the Auctioneering Camp in Lathrop, where Abby Woods earned Champion Beginning Auctioneer! We also had 37 first-year FFA members attend the Greenhand Leadership Conference - learning how Agricultural Education can pave their path to success throughout high school and beyond/ Aneesha Naveed earned the Outstanding Pilot award during GLC!

Our chapter hosted two major community events - the Zombie Run and Fall Fest - both of which had amazing turnout and participation from students, families, and community members. Fall Fest alone brought together over 300 people for a day of fun fall activities! The Zombie Run was a fun edition this year, bringing in over 50 runners!

At the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo, Liberty Ranch earned the 2-Star National Star Chapter Award. Our Food Science team also placed 8th in the nation, earning a trip to Atlanta for the International Production and Processing Expo. Congratulations to Kelly Faul, Madison Castro, Jason Bradley, and Ava Van Warmerdam for their hard work and success! The Agricultural Communications team earned a silver ranked finish at the National Competition - congratulations Abby Woods, Kennie Thomas, Avery Gregorio, and Trevor Schweitz! 9 other members attended leadership workshops, inspiring sessions, a concert, rodeo, tours, and more!

Finally, through our PALS ( Partners in Active Learning Support) program, 20 members visited Marengo Ranch Elementary school to teach agriculture lessons to K-5 students, helping spark early interest in ag education. The same day, our chapter officers hosted a Discovery Leadership Conference at McCaffrey Middle School - teaching students practical skills they can use int he future.

We're proud of the leadership, dedication, and teamwork of our members this month. Thank you for your continued support of Liberty Ranch FFA- we are looking forward to more growth and success in the months ahead.
