🌟 Galt 4‑H Holiday Community Highlights

The holiday season was a busy and joyful time for Galt 4‑H! Our members proudly represented the club throughout December by volunteering at several cherished community events. Here’s a look at how our youth helped spread holiday cheer across Galt and beyond.

🎄 Lighting of the Night Parade – December 6

Galt 4‑H kicked off the holiday season by participating in the annual Lighting of the Night Parade. Members joined the festive procession, helping bring sparkle, excitement, and plenty of 4‑H spirit to the streets of Galt. It was a wonderful way to start the season and connect with the community.

🥧 Serving at the Galt Community Dinner

One of our favorite traditions each year is volunteering at the Galt Community Dinner, hosted by the Galt Sunrise Rotary Club. This free annual event provides a warm turkey dinner, fixings, dessert, and a visit with Santa for families in our community. This dinner has been known to serve from 800-1200 people.

For the past eight years Galt 4‑H members have stepped up to serve pie to guests, greeting everyone with smiles and holiday cheer. Dressed in their 4‑H hats, scarves, and ties, our members helped make the evening feel welcoming and festive for all who attended.

🎁 Supporting the Elk Grove Police Department Toy Project

Our craft project members once again volunteered with the Elk Grove Police Department’s and Cosumnes Fire Department’s Toy Project, an effort that provides Christmas gifts to children and families in need benefiting an estimated 150 families. 4-H Members helped wrap presents, adding creativity and care to each gift. This project continues to be a meaningful way for our youth to support families during the holiday season.

💚 A Season of Service

From parades to dinners to gift‑wrapping, Galt 4‑H shows what it means to lead with heart. We’re proud of our members for giving their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the holidays brighter for others. Thank you to everyone who participated and represented our club with pride.
